The term 'en' encapsulates the dual significance of the shape of a pearl and the connections between people. This character, drawn in the seal script used from around 200 BC to 1000 AD, conveys the timeless beauty of calligraphy. Through this, it expresses the universal bonds among humans and the enduring harmony of nature.
This piece is finished with a special ink. Powder made from pearls that were not turned into jewelry is mixed into the ink at a ratio of 20%, creating depth and texture in the color. This unique technique imbues the characters with the mystique of pearls.
